Courses: Remixed a few steps closer to perfection
The benefit of experience and use has revealed a handful of worthy upgrades to CoachAccountable Courses.
Following Items
Sometimes it is useful to share a file or send a note or assign something else only after a given assignment has been completed. Courses now allow you setup items that follow a given Action or Worksheet. For any assignment you can have one or more items that follow it, and if those items are either an Action or Worksheet, then THEY can have following items.
Such chaining can go as deep as you like. If one were so inclined you could create an entire course as just a sequence of assignments, each triggered by the completion of the last (not that you necessarily would).
Customize Courses for a Single Participant
You might have a course that is generally suitable for the collection of people that you coach, but say you want to tweak the content or timeline specially for a specific individual. Now with a single click you can spin-off a version of that course for that person, and modify their course timeline while keeping the standard course in tact for everyone else.
Clone Entire Courses, Clone Course Items
To make the task of course building easier, you can now clone single course items (great for repeated worksheets) and clone entire courses (a nice shortcut for building a series of courses that are variations on a theme).
See Implied Items of the Course Timeline
Build a course that really flows nicely with a more thorough feel for how the course timeline is laid out. For example when you have an action assignment that is due 3 days later having a few reminders in between, you can see how the due date and the reminders lines up with other happenings in the course.
Many thanks those who have given me the feedback about using courses which prompted these enhancements.

Hey!!
How is it.. If I create a program/course here. Is it possible for people to download my program ( for a fee), and if so, how many can buy this program, considering my account/upgrade and so on.
Thank you!!

Good question. Courses within CoachAccountable are all web-based, and so there’s no way to “download” it: rather you setup an individual to participate in your program/course and then CA delivers the material (via web and email) over days and weeks according to the timeline you setup.
As for how many can buy/do your program, that’s limited only by which subscription plan you are on. A subscription plan comes with the max number of active clients you can have at one time, see subscription plans here. If your program participants are staggered in time, then you only need a plan big enough to cover however many are in your course at once (e.g. once the first wave is done, you can deactivate those clients and setup the next batch).
Cheers!

Hey John
My dumb question as I wrap my head around courses. Is there a way to integrate coaching sessions and course material-where completing a session (appointment) then triggers sequential course materials? For example:
-Coaching appointment
-Read Article Action
-Worksheet Completion Action
Does this make sense?

Can you add video to your course?
Can I see one (or more) sample course/s?

Hi Craig,
It does! There’s no way to specifically tie course items to appointments, because appointments are always necessarily specific to a given client, whereas Courses are more like general (and repeatable at any time) templates.
That said you can set up one or more “mini” Courses, each of which represents a specific sequence that you’d like your clients to work on following a given session (like reading an article, then completing a Worksheet, and so on).
That way you can have an appointment with your client, whenever you have it, and afterwards with a few clicks put that client into the appropriate Course to set in motion their follow up assignment.
Give it a try, once you throw together a little Course like that you should get the sense that they’re pretty easy to make, and are a powerful tool at that!
Cheers,
John

@E.G. you can add video to your courses, the best way is by embedding videos as hosted on one of the common video hosting sites so that it can be delivered seamlessly in-app to your clients.
As for sample courses, there are a few that come pre-loaded standard in your account, a nice way to see examples of how you can set things up for sure!
